Personal Profile
Mark W. Campbell, principal of Meister Capital LLC, has a foundation and exceptional track record in corporate finance, board membership and advisory services to growth-stage companies in the restaurant and entertainment industries.
Mark built a successful career over three decades in corporate finance and as an entrepreneur. He began as an investment banker at Blair & Company, advising both public and private entities on a variety of strategic and financing initiatives. He then became Vice President of investments at Janssen Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank that provided venture capital to the biotech and technology industries. His expertise extends to the raising of equity, hybrid-equity and debt capital from both the public and private markets.
With an early interest in the hospitality industry he financed, owned and operated several restaurant concepts, endeavoring a growth plan via a public company vehicle, served as president and CEO and managed operations of The Shark Bar Restaurant, Soul Cafe and Mekka concepts in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago. After over 21 successful years of business, Mark exited into his current role as principal of his advisory and finance firm Meister Capital LLC., and began as corporate finance advisor and board director, working with some very exciting brands and concepts providing corporate guidance, valuation analysis, funding and operation acumen to start-ups and companies poised for growth in the hospitality industry and development and finance strategies to entertainment partners. Through the years he maintained a burgeoning interest in filmed entertainment and co-produced, The Girl is in Trouble, an indie feature and advised and assisted the financing of the Academy Award nominated film OMAR. He currently serves as an advisor to several independent production entities in the development, packaging, funding and production of feature films.
Mark sits on the Board of Directors and is the corporate advisor to Ingrained Hospitality Holdings LLC, the parent company of the FieldTrip fast casual concept. Mark is a contributor/co-author of the book, “Inside the Minds – The Restaurant Business”
